Fishing in Miekak is without a doubt one of the best in Sweden. You have the possibility to try all fishing methods and you can stay either in the camp or in one of the cabins in the highlands. The fishing area belonging to Miekak is 2100 acres and includes at least 20 mountain lakes and 10 kms of clear streams. You can ice-fish during the winter and you can go fly-fishing, spinning or angling during the summer and best of all, the fish you get is genuine wild brown trout, alpine char or grayling.
Pieskeströmmarna, the Pieske Streams, is reputed to be one of the world’s finest waters for large alpine char and brown trout.
Miekak is also well-known as one of the only real wilderness camps left in the world today and yet there is no risk of feeling crowded. The area is large and the number of visitors limited.
